The enclosed telegram (Berlin to Stettin) represents the direct and official form of news transmission of this period: "Ostseezeitung Stettin Prinzessinn Friedrich Wilhelm von einem Prinzen eben glücklich entbunden. Wöchnerin, Neugeborner wohlbefindlich. Wolff" (Ostseezeitung Stettin Princess Friedrich Wilhelm just happily delivered of a prince. Mother, newborn well. Wolff). Together, these pieces form a rare and authentic testimony to a decisive moment in German history, good age-appropriate condition, paper is browned and has clear fold marks, slightly stained in places, extra sheet 21 x 15.5 cm (WxH), telegram 19.5 x 23.5 cm (WxH).
