Head office Quedlinburg
There is no better place to discover treasures from the past than our auction house in the medieval World Heritage town of Quedlinburg.
Situated in the north-east of the Harz Mountains in Saxony-Anhalt, Quedlinburg enchants visitors with its historic old town, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. Cobbled streets, narrow winding lanes and some two thousand half-timbered houses bear witness to more than a thousand years of history.
Our art and auction house is located in one of these half-timbered houses in the old town, parts of which date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The oldest parts of the building, which has been lovingly restored, date back to 1570. The 600 square metres of exhibition space now house a wide range of art and antiques - delicate glassware, artistic porcelain, atmospheric paintings, impressive sculptures, precious watches and jewellery as well as furniture from the Baroque, Biedermeier, Gründerzeit or Art Nouveau periods. The vaulted cellar is even used to store wine.
You can browse our shop to your heart´s content, buy what you find and take it home with you. Adjacent to the sales rooms is the converted historic auction hall, where carriages were once made and repaired. Today our auctions are held here and the hall also provides the perfect setting for alternating exhibitions of collector´s items for sale.
Our antiques and collectibles are advertised not only in the shop, but all over the world. The goods are offered and advertised both on our website and on various auction platforms (Auction Goods). As a result, our house is known worldwide and attracts buyers and sellers both online and in person to our half-timbered house.
The auction house was founded in 1989 and when we took it over in 2015, we were fascinated by the historic building and the objects it housed. A hobby turned into a profession - today our expertise in art and antiques is in demand throughout Germany. Not least when it comes to "valuing treasures": Every year, hundreds of clients take advantage of the opportunity to have special pieces appraised at our head office in Quedlinburg as well as our branch in Braunschweig.
We have been organising auctions several times a year since 1991. We determine the respective sales value when the items are consigned.
Do you have a treasure you would like to sell or are you looking for a special piece for your collection? Please do not hesitate to contact us! We look forward to hearing from you.
