Royal, later Imperial dinner plate from the flower basket service, KPM Berlin 1849/1870
porcelain, white, glazed, Neuglatt, base marked with penny and scepter mark as well as purple owner's mark König Wilhelm, round plate, multi-colored fine painting in the center: overturned flower basket with roses on a piece of lawn, flag decorated with morning glories, the many-colored edge with golden filling decoration, good age-appropriate condition, gold-colored edge partially rubbed, d. 24.5 cm
This plate was part of a dinner service that Frederick the Great (Alter Fritz) commissioned from his Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Berlin in 1770 and was delivered in 1772. This dinner service was probably in regular use, as the subsequent deliveries testify.
